We have a brilliant opportunity for an experienced and professional Tax Agent to join our Bookkeeping and Tax Services team.

About the Role

This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of trade and construction clients. This is a busy and varied role, and we are looking for someone with the experience. Activities include but are not limited to:

  • Preparation and revision of client tax returns prior to lodgement
  • Preparation and lodgement of BAS and IAS
  • Payroll tax and superannuation processing
  • Monthly and quarterly financial and management reports
  • EOY financials and related activities
  • Client engagement and review meetings
  • Analysis and audit
  • Set up of new clients
  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of the Tax Services team
  • Education, training, and support for the team and our clients

Skills & Experience

  • Current Tax Agent Registration (essential)
  • Minimum Diploma qualified preferably in accounting (essential)
  • 2 – 3 years’ relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB (certification ideal)
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and lodging tax returns for SMEs
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Execution of EOFY processes
  • Experience managing a multi-client portfolio
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Trade and construction industry experience (preferred)
